Entrepreneurial pathways in sustainable fashion: key drivers and barriers
The present study aims to understand the factors influencing the sustainable entrepreneurship decisions in fashion industry in emerging nations. These factors are mapped to different context with Triple bottom line (TBL) framework. The study undertakes qualitative approach comprising of in depth semi-structured interviews. The data is analysed through a thematic analysis to identify the drivers and barriers of sustainable entrepreneurship. We identified nineteen influencing factors that were categorized as drivers and barriers under the three dimensions of TBL framework namely, economic, social and environmental factors. The research adds to the body of knowledge on fashion entrepreneurs by looking at sustainable garment businesses from an entrepreneurial standpoint.
