The Axiomatic Axiom

The Cohesion UFT rests on a single existence claim: pressure exists. This paperestablishes that the claim cannot be stated in a restricted form. Because pressure isrelational, registering only as difference held against adjacent medium, twoconsequences follow without further assumption. First, pressure is ubiquitous: abounded region of pressure requires something on the far side of the boundary tohold it, and whatever holds a boundary is itself exerting pressure, so the supposedexterior is already part of the medium. Second, pressure is variable: a perfectlyuniform field carries no gradient, exerts no net force, and produces no motion, and istherefore indistinguishable from no pressure at all. Ubiquity and variability arederived, not assumed. The axiom is minimal, and its universality is forced by its owncontent. The paper also fixes the status of zero pressure, distinguishes ubiquity fromuniformity, and states what the remainder of the series inherits: no edge conditions,no container, no external reference frame, and no need for an initiating cause ofmotion.
