Numbers Don’t Lie … Or Do They? Vitol’s Investment Dilemma in the Hascol Case

At the same time, the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) had issued show-cause notices concerning Hascol’s interim reporting and related-party pricing, while Hascol had obtained adjournments from the Sindh High Court instead of resolving the matters at the regulator’s office. Vitol was weighing whether to step back, stand still, or increase its stake.
