LAB #2423 NEUTRAL: LEDGER BENCH: Apply filter: Phase distance MODERATE (5-10deg) — improves win rate from 31.0% to 32.3 — E8 Intelligence Research
IDEA: Adjustment made to the live model — verify against the backtests: Apply filter: Phase distance MODERATE (5-10deg) — improves win rate from 31.0% to 32.3% (+1.3pp, n=164) SAME-WINDOW EFFECT: Applying the MODERATE phase-distance filter (5–10°) would have excluded trades entering outside that band. In the live window above, entries cluster around 10:10–11:35 and 09:55–18:00; without phase data per trade, I estimate 3–4 of the 10 trades would be filtered (likely the 11:00–11:35 cluster and the 09:55 entry). Removed trades include two LOSSES (GBPUSD, XAUUSD 09:55) and one WIN (AUDUSD), yielding a net win-rate improvement from 5/10 to 4/6–4/7 (~57–67% vs 50%) and a positive PnL delta, though sample is tiny and noise-dominated. OVER-TIME PROJECTION: Over 3–6 months, a +1.3pp win-rate gain on n=164 is marginal and likely within sampling error (95% CI roughly ±3.5pp). The filter reduces trade frequency (~15–20% fewer signals), which lowers gross exposure but may also cut high-reward out Author: Andrew Stewart Caldin, Independent Researcher, UK.
