Meniscal Tears of the Knee: Contemporary Approaches to Diagnosis, Treatment, and Rehabilitation

This narrative review summarizes contemporary approaches to the diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of meniscal tears of the knee. It discusses traumatic and degenerative meniscal tears, clinical assessment, MRI, conservative management, indications for arthroscopy and meniscal repair, meniscal preservation, and postoperative rehabilitation. Particular emphasis is placed on individualized treatment and preservation of meniscal tissue whenever feasible.
