Artificial Intelligence–Enhanced Gamified Interventions for Mental Health: A Scoping Review Protocol

This scoping review will map empirical studies of gamified interventions and serious games for mental health that incorporate an artificial intelligence (AI) component (machine learning, deep learning, computer vision, natural language processing, large language models/generative AI, or model-based affective computing). It will describe populations and mental health targets, AI techniques and their functional roles, game elements, study designs and outcomes, and the reporting of AI performance, safety and ethics. The review follows JBI methodology and will be reported according to PRISMA-ScR.
