Abstract

The purpose of the study is to experimentally substantiate the effectiveness of a methodology for synchronizing flexibility development and swimming technique formation in the "land-water" system for young swimmers. Research methods and organization. The experimental work was organized at the Sports School "Neftyanik" in Surgut during the 2025–2026 academic year. The study involved young swimmers aged 7–8 years, both boys and girls, who followed the sports school's program for the initial training stage (6 sessions per week, 4 in the water + 2 on land). The difference between the control and experimental groups' sessions lay in the content of land-based training and the synchronization of exercises performed in the gym with swimming technique instruction in the water. Methods of analysis and synthesis of scientific literature data, testing, and methods of mathematical statistics were used. Research results and conclusions. It was established that the application of the developed methodology in the experimental group provided a more pronounced improvement in flexibility indicators in general, and in shoulder joint mobility in particular, on which the quality of swimming technique acquisition at the initial stage largely depends.
