Appointments and achievements

Justine Cole, a student at the Royal Veterinary College, has won first place in the Veterinary Evidence Student Awards 2025 for her knowledge summary on 3-nitrooxypropanol's effects on methane emissions in dairy cattle, submitted to the open access journal Veterinary Evidence. The awards, open to undergraduate veterinary students worldwide, also recognised Athulya Prakash (Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University), who took second place for work on canine transmissible venereal tumour therapy, and joint third-place winners Jacqueline Chappell (University of Sydney) and Leah Foster (Otago Polytechnic), for papers on sepsis scoring in dogs and hiding boxes for hospitalised cats.
