The Evolution of $$\varvec{Studia} \,\,\varvec{Logica}$$

This is a companion piece to Studia Logica. A History of the Journal , the book published recently by Springer that presents Studia Logica not merely as a journal, but as an institution whose history reflects the changing landscape of modern logic. In this view, the journal becomes the connecting thread linking the continuity of the Lvov–Warsaw School, the evolution of formal logic, the internationalisation of scholarship, and the transformation of academic publishing. While the book serves as the primary source of historical material, the article complements this narrative by providing a qualitative bibliometric analysis of the journal’s development. Both sources shed light on how a highly specialised scientific journal managed to survive and become internationally influential over nearly a century: the book supplies the detailed historical evidence, while the article provides data analysis to support it.
