A Case Report of Chronic Allergic Rhinitis Treated With Individualized Homoeopathy Using LM Potency

Abstract Allergic rhinitis is an inflammatory disorder of the nasal mucosa induced by allergen exposure, triggering an immunoglobulin E-mediated response. It is an extremely common condition, where the prevalence estimated that 20%–30% of the population exhibiting symptoms either as seasonal or perennial allergic rhinitis. Clinically, it is characterized by rhinorrhea, nasal congestion, nasal itching and sneezing, which adversely affects the quality of life of the patient. As this case study demonstrates, the effective use of an individualized homoeopathic medication, which is aimed at enhancing the body’s own healing capacity so that the human system does not react adversely to the allergens, which are considered external factors or as an exciting cause. A case of a 17-year-old female presented symptoms of continuous sneezing on rising up and aggravation from strong fragrances for 10 years. This case report demonstrates that the patient received individualized homoeopathic medication, decreasing the symptom severity and the patient’s tendency of manifestation of symptoms of Allergic rhinitis. It highlights that homoeopathic management, with the patient’s symptom totality, can offer effective relief in allergic rhinitis.
