Abstract

The purpose of the study is to substantiate the necessity of individualizing training loads in Paralympic powerlifting, taking into account the nosological characteristics of athletes. Research methods: theoretical analysis of scientific and methodological literature. Research results and conclusions. Nosological groups were identified taking into account physiological and biomechanical characteristics. The features of planning training loads for each nosological group were determined: control of autonomic reactions, emphasis on the development of the triceps brachii and speed training without the use of fixing belts for athletes with spinal cord injuries; individualization of the "load–velocity" relationship for short-statured athletes and the use of wrist wraps; priority development of the abdominal and back muscles in athletes with amputations; as well as analysis of barbell kinematic characteristics and the predominance of speed training for athletes with manifestations of hypertonia, ataxia, and athetosis. For each nosological group, features were identified that can be taken into account when planning training loads, which can improve the efficiency and safety of the training process in Paralympic powerlifting.
