AFSP program advances culturally informed suicide prevention

During Suicide Prevention Month, the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) is highlighting the growing reach of a community‐informed suicide prevention program designed specifically for Black and African American communities. Since its national launch during Black History Month in 2024, the initiative has engaged nearly 6,000 individuals and recently earned recognition from the Suicide Prevention Resource Center's Best Practices Registry.
