ASSESSMENT OF THE ORNAMENTAL VALUE AND ANALYSIS OF THE PHENOLOGICAL DEVELOPMENT OF TREE SPECIES UNDER THE CONDITIONS OF TASHKENT REGION

This scientific study aims to evaluate the role of urban green spaces and tree and shrub species in reducing air pollution and ensuring ecological sustainability in urban landscapes. The research provides a scientific analysis of the ability of plants to capture airborne particulate matter (PM), nitrogen oxides (NOₓ), sulfur dioxide (SO₂), and volatile organic compounds (VOCs), to neutralize these pollutants, and to absorb carbon dioxide (CO₂) while releasing oxygen through photosynthesis. The ecological and ornamental characteristics of Paulownia (Paulownia tomentosa), Catalpa (Catalpa bignonioides), dense elm (Ulmus densa), Sogdian (Fraxinus sogdiana), Pennsylvania (Fraxinus pennsylvanica), and poplar (Populus alba, Populus deltoides) were investigated. The selected tree species were evaluated based on their capacity to absorb CO₂ and improve air quality in urban environments, as well as their adaptability to climatic conditions and their contribution to ecological sustainability
