Biomechanical Analysis of a World Record in Judo's Tomoe Nage Technique: 20 Throws in 1 Minute by Master Seyed Ali Tayebi

This case study examines the biomechanical parameters of a world record in Judo's Tomoe Nage technique, performed on August 25, 2005, by Master Seyed Ali Tayebi (born 1960), at the age of 45. The participant was a 45-year-old male athlete (weight: 60 kg) with over 40 years of sports experience at the time of the record. The record was performed at Shahid Gomnam Club in Pardis, Tehran, Iran, in the presence of approximately 40 students. The technique was performed 20 times in 1 minute. The official judge was Top Master Ali Hamrahi. This record was registered with the World Kiku Organization (Kiku) — the oldest record-keeping organization in the world (established 1891, Japan) — under Registration No. 1891 JPN.
