Biomechanical Analysis of a World Record in the Combined Technique of O Guruma with Ude Hishigi Juji Gatame: 20 Executions in 1 Minute
This case study examines the biomechanical parameters of a world record in the combined technique of O Guruma (major wheel throw) with Ude Hishigi Juji Gatame (cross armlock), performed on August 25, 2005, at the age of 22. The participant was a 22-year-old male athlete (height: 170 cm, weight: 67 kg). The record was performed at Shahid Gomnam Cultural and Sports Club in Pardis, Tehran, Iran, in the presence of approximately 40 students. The technique was performed 20 times in 1 minute. The official judge was Top Master Ali Hamrahi. The unique feature of this technique is the execution of Juji Gatame in mid-air — before the opponent lands — combining a throwing technique with an armlock in a single continuous motion. This record was registered with the World Kiku Organization (Kiku) under Registration No. 1891 JPN, as well as IMARO, TAFISA, and other international organizations.
