From Proportional Rectangles to Sampled Analog Root Computation
We study a modern proportional-rectangle construction for positive integer-degree roots andits translation into a sampled analog computing architecture. A fixed support realizes reciprocal Newtoniteration. Replacing it by a moving line through a constructible anchor gives.
