Further Conceptual Clarifications on Transfer, Copying, Identity, Biological Substrate, and Technological Support — CEI Framework

This collection accompanies a further stage in the development of the concepts expressed in the CEI Framework and brings together a set of clarifications concerning transfer, copying, identity, substrate, and technological support. The five notes follow a conceptual path that begins with the distinction between transfer and copying and progressively connects this distinction with the role of substrate, the possible transfer of identity-related characteristics, a concrete process configuration, and the technological context in which such processes may be investigated. Taken together, these notes allow this particular conceptual path to return to the broader configuration from which it began. In this sense, the collection represents the point at which this connection can be considered conceptually closed: not as a conclusion of the CEI Framework as a whole, but as the completion of one specific conceptual cycle within the broader development of the Framework. The path therefore connects its point of departure with its point of arrival, which in turn relates back to the initial hypothesis of the general CEI Framework.
