Analyzing the household benefits of biogas technology through environmental sustainability for green economic development
Green concerns and the unpredictable costs of established power sources have prompted growing attention to biogas energy. Rising fossil fuel consumption harms the climate and depletes finite natural resources. Domestic biogas plants serve a dual goal in this situation: they meet families’ power needs and reduce power costs in creating nations. This study objectives to classify and examine the significant performance of biogas power generation from domestic organic waste, thereby reducing energy costs and mitigating atmospheric pollution. The objective of this investigation is to assess the efficacy of green energy, specifically biogas, to address this knowledge gap. Non-probability purposive sampling was used to choose the interviewees. The model was authorized with statistics from 541 users, investors, and waste sources for household biogas energy plants. To test the designated hypotheses, partial least squares structural equation modelling (PLS-SEM) was used. This research used a purposive sampling technique to investigate the household advantages of biogas energy on the environment and financial development. The results offer empirical support for the proposed hypothesis, suggesting that the designated variables have a significant, positive impact on the adoption of domestic biogas plants, particularly through their perceived financial feasibility. The PLS-SEM analysis demonstrated that biogas energy is significantly influenced by environmental energy strategy and financial motivations (GEPEI) (β = 0.792, p < 0.001). The model supported H2 and H4, accounting for 47.3% of the variance in intention (R 2 ). However, H1 and H3 hypotheses were not supported. The outcomes also disclosed that awareness through social and digital media plays a moderating role. The selected moderating factors significantly and favorably influence this conceptual model. The study’s results proposed essential suggestions that contribute to household biotechnology and socio-economic literature. The study further suggests that the administration implement a financial incentives approach for residents, household biogas plant owners, and investors.
