The Underlying Mechanism of Force Locking

Experiments and numerical simulations of photon collision consistently show that high energy gamma photons have the highest probability of producing electron positron pairs under head on collision at 180 degrees. When the collision angle deviates from 180 degrees, the probability of particle generation decreases significantly. Conventional physical theories only attribute this phenomenon to mathematical constraints of momentum conservation, without revealing the real physical mechanism of local energy locking and energy conversion into matter. This paper establishes the underlying physical mechanism of force locking. A free photon is energy propagating at a constant speed of light, without rest mass or physical volume, and mass properties cannot be manifested. The invariable speed of light serves as the fundamental prerequisite for photons to achieve force locking. As long as a photon maintains its form of light, it propagates continuously at a constant speed of light and can exist for a long time until it encounters a matching interaction object, enabling energy rise, energy drop or material locking transformation. It needs to be emphasized that the momentum discussed in this paper only appears after energy converts into material particles at the moment of collision. Photons do not carry momentum corresponding to physical mass before they transform into material particles. When two equal energy high energy gamma photons collide head on along a straight line at 180 degrees, the interaction effect from their opposite motion forms the momentum of material particles at the instant of conversion into electron positron pairs. The two groups of momentum offset each other to zero. The directional energy that once keeps photons moving at the speed of light can no longer escape outward. Energy solidifies in local space and forms a stable material structure with real mass charge and physical volume, completing force locking. Oblique collision cannot fully offset the system momentum. Residual net motion momentum remains in the system, so energy cannot be locked completely and the probability of material generation drops sharply. At the instant of particle formation through force locking, the total momentum of the system returns to zero. The newly formed electron and positron already carry real mass and can move. New particles do not exist in isolation. The universe is filled with a large number of material particles. New particles continuously receive gravitational force and coulomb electromagnetic force from surrounding material particles and will inevitably produce relative motion. They can accelerate decelerate or change direction. There are no permanently stationary material particles. This mechanism clearly explains the angular effect of photon collision and the fundamental reason for energy conversion into matter, and improves the underlying physical picture of mutual transformation between light and matter.
