A new record for Niuginitermes liklik Roisin & Pasteels, 1996 (Isoptera, Termitidae, Nasutitermitinae) from the Philippines

The nasutiform wood-feeding termite Niuginitermes liklik Roisin & Pasteels, 1996 is recorded for the first time from the Philippines. The genus and species were originally described from Papua New Guinea, a distance of some 3,300 km from the new record. We compare external and internal characters of the soldier and large worker castes from the Philippines with the original description of N. liklik . To date, there are 54 described termite species present in the Philippines.
