Reading science
I regularly teach psychology residents about school consultation. We often review a case study of a child struggling with behavior problems and discuss what information is needed to make recommendations. Inevitably, residents ask about behavior patterns, trauma, family — all good questions — but just as inevitably they leave out a critical consideration: academic functioning.
