The genome sequence of a soldier beetle, Cantharis decipiens Baudi, 1871 (Coleoptera: Cantharidae)

We present a genome assembly from an individual male Cantharis decipiens (Arthropoda; Insecta; Coleoptera; Cantharidae). The genome sequence has a total length of 355.23 megabases. Most of the assembly (77.9%) is scaffolded into 7 chromosomal pseudomolecules, including the X sex chromosome. The mitochondrial genome has also been assembled, with a length of 18.0 kilobases. This assembly was generated as part of the Darwin Tree of Life project, which produces genomes for eukaryotic species found in Britain and Ireland.
