PROBAITI Intellectual Foundations, Methodological Distinctions and Original Contribution — Version 1.0 documents the intellectual lineage, methodological boundaries, comparative distinctions, originality position, attribution rules and intellectual-property considerations underlying the PROBAITI evidence-first AI governance and assurance methodology. The publication distinguishes between established antecedents and PROBAITI-specific contributions. It examines relevant concepts from assurance cases, audit and evidence-based assurance, requirements traceability, provenance, defeaters and contradiction, dynamic assurance, change-impact analysis, debt concepts, risk management, management systems and AI governance. PROBAITI does not claim to have invented established concepts such as assurance cases, claims-and-evidence reasoning, bidirectional traceability, lifecycle monitoring or debt metaphors. Its claimed contribution lies in the defined integration, formalisation and interaction of these concepts within a bounded AI-governance demonstrability architecture.
