Glossary of Terms of UIAM, EFOS, and PCI: A Dictionary of Ontological Entities, Physical Phenomena, and Units of Measurement
This glossary, version 2.1, is the corrected edition of the working dictionary for the Universal Information-Architectural Model (UIAM), the EFOS ontology (Entity Forming Objects and Subjects), and the theory of the Projection Coherence Index (PCI). The key correction in this version is the replacement of the earlier acronym SFOS with EFOS throughout the text, including the title, to align terminology with the jointly developed model. The glossary systematizes terms across seven sections: basic ontological entities, entropy and information, PCI, physical objects and phenomena, the hierarchy of forms of matter (7FM), classification terms, and a summary table of units. It provides definitions, status, units of measurement, and source attributions for each term, distinguishing contributions from Nikita Kazachenko’s UIAM, Andrey Zagidullin’s IAMR, the EFOS model, and joint work. Key entries include EFOS (the absolute non-object source of projections), IAMR (information as primary), the projection operator P(G), cognitive registers L_k, renormalization group flow T_RG, the architectonic operator Φ, and the generating functional Z[J]. Entropy and information concepts cover total information conservation, local entropy changes, and the information potential gradient ∇I. The PCI section details the formula PCI = (I_corr / I_total)·(1 − η_loss) and its interpretation as distinguishing entropic sinks (PCI → 0) from topological glues (PCI → 1). The 7FM hierarchy outlines forms F1–F6 (physical to apeiron). Classification terms “physicalism” and “materialism” are clarified as external labels, with a historical note on the rise of physicalist interpretations of information. This corrected version aims to unify terminology for interdisciplinary research. It remains open for refinement and collaboration.
