Integrative analysis of plasma cell-free RNA and gut microbiome enables early prediction of GDM
Gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) diagnosis at 24 to 28 gestational weeks limits early intervention. Integrating host transcriptomes with microbial signatures captures both systemic and environmental alterations for improved early prediction. In a nested case and control longitudinal study of 694 pregnant women sampled across three trimesters, profiling of plasma cell free transcriptome and gut microbiome microbial revealed alternations associated with GDM.
