Brain-Power Co-Creation:A 40-Year Trajectory of Higher Brain Dysfunction Rehabilitation from Clinical Origins to Social Implementation

本稿は,第49回日本高次脳機能学会学術総会での会長講演に基づき,我が国の高次脳機能リハビリテーションの変遷と展望を論じる。筆者が歩んできた40年の原点は,救命できても人生を救えなかった研修医時代の自省にある。リハビリテーション科医となって,失語症や半側空間無視,認知症の臨床研究に従事し,家族参加型アプローチの重要性を説き,国立長寿医療研究センターではフレイル予防や認知症対策等の社会実装を試みた。さらに,新薬時代における高次脳機能評価の重要性を強調し,多職種や地域が知恵を出し合う「脳力共創」を提唱すると共に,1例の症例報告が未来の医療を創るという次世代へのメッセージを送る。
