CO-EXISTENCE OF RARE CONGENITAL ANOMALIES: OPTIC DISC PIT WITH MACULOPATHY AND OPTIC DISC COLOBOMA

Optic disc pit and optic disc coloboma are rare congenital anomalies of the optic nerve. Their co-existence, particularly with optic disc pit maculopathy, is extremely uncommon. A 20-year-old male presented with decreased vision in the right eye. Fundus examination revealed a temporally located optic disc pit associated with an adjacent optic disc coloboma. Optical coherence tomography demonstrated disc pit maculopathy with schisis-like retinal separation and serous macular detachment. This case highlights the rare association of optic disc pit, maculopathy, and optic disc coloboma.
