Development of Experimental Research Program for Multi-Quark Systems at High pT on Nuclotron
Abstract The project is aimed at an experimental search and study of the properties of multi-quark (multi-nucleon) states on fixed target experiments with polarized and unpolarized beams of light nuclei of Nuclotron. The unique energy range of the Nuclotron and the high intensity of ions, including polarized ones, combined with the use of cryogenic and polarized targets opens up the possibility of conducting exclusive and correlation studies of rare processes in NN-, dd-, NA-, and AA interactions when particles are produced in the range of pT > 0.5 GeV/c. The report discusses proposals for studying the properties of diquarks, their flavor and spin states, as well as the formation of 6-quark states in pp, pn, and nn exclusive reactions. Proposals for the experimental search and study of the properties of the cold dense baryonic matter are presented. The studies of the formation of the strange baryons at high baryon densities matter are also being discussed.
