Integrated Neurovegetative Medicine (MNI) — Release 4.0 This work presents Integrated Neurovegetative Medicine (MNI) as a new theoretical, scientific, and experimental framework focused on the integrated regulation of the human autonomic nervous system and its dynamic interactions with cardiovascular, respiratory, endocrine, metabolic, immune, neuropsychological, behavioural, and environmental systems. MNI proposes that human functional regulation should not be interpreted exclusively through isolated physiological measurements, but through the integrated study of baseline state, perturbation, autonomic response, compensation, recovery, adaptation, variability, and multisystem coupling. The present Release 4.0 provides the scientific foundations, neurophysiological rationale, mathematical and biophysical models, measurement principles, experimental hypotheses, proposed biomarkers, research protocols, validation pathways, safety considerations, and institutional framework required for the systematic investigation of MNI. A central objective of this publication is to make the MNI framework openly available to the international scientific and medical community. International Call for Independent Research and Validation Hospitals, universities, medical schools, research institutes, neuroscience centres, clinical laboratories, physiology laboratories, biomedical engineering groups, rehabilitation centres, sleep laboratories, cardiovascular laboratories, autonomic research units, and other qualified scientific institutions worldwide are invited to independently investigate the hypotheses proposed by MNI. Institutions are particularly encouraged to: reproduce and critically evaluate the physiological models proposed in this work; develop and test MNI-derived experimental protocols; investigate autonomic reactivity and recovery under controlled physiological perturbations; examine multisystem interactions involving cardiovascular, respiratory, neuroendocrine, metabolic, immune, thermoregulatory, behavioural, and environmental variables; evaluate the reproducibility and reliability of proposed MNI measurements; investigate the proposed construct of Integrated Neurovegetative Flexibility; contribute to the development and external validation of quantitative neurovegetative indices; compare MNI-derived models with established autonomic and physiological assessment methods; conduct observational, longitudinal, interventional, and—where scientifically and ethically justified—clinical studies; publish positive, negative, neutral, or contradictory findings; propose corrections, refinements, extensions, or alternative interpretations of the MNI framework. The scientific value of MNI must ultimately depend not on acceptance of its hypotheses, but on their independent reproducibility, falsifiability, predictive value, biological plausibility, clinical relevance, and capacity to generate new knowledge. For this reason, the author explicitly welcomes studies that challenge or fail to confirm individual components of the framework. Negative findings, methodological criticism, replication failures, and alternative models are considered essential contributions to the scientific development of MNI. From Hypothesis to Scientific Validation Release 4.0 should therefore be considered a foundation and validation framework, not a declaration that MNI has already achieved clinical validation. The proposed progression is: theoretical formulation → physiological measurement → experimental testing → reproducibility → external validation → independent replication → clinical investigation → scientific consensus or revision. Any research involving human participants should be conducted by appropriately qualified institutions under applicable ethical, regulatory, privacy, and clinical-governance requirements. Clinical adoption should follow, rather than precede, adequate scientific validation. Open Scientific Development MNI is presented as an open scientific research programme intended to evolve through international collaboration. Researchers and institutions are encouraged to cite this Release when developing studies derived from its theoretical framework, methodology, terminology, experimental models, or validation programme, and to publish their results in peer-reviewed scientific journals and open research repositories. The long-term objective is the creation of a transparent international body of evidence capable of determining which components of Integrated Neurovegetative Medicine are supported, which require modification, and which should be rejected. The MNI framework is therefore formally submitted to the international scientific community for: independent evaluation, experimentation, replication, falsification, validation, refinement, and further development.
