EOS – Evolutionary Orbital Shift: Changing the Planetary Axis, Rotation, and the Path of Life
This paper introduces a novel geophysical framework demonstrating how the Chicxulub impact functioned as a direct mechanical driver of global evolution, leading to the rise of the genus Homo. Challenging traditional reductionist models that evaluate impact vectors in isolation, we propose a non-linear cascading system instability model. We formalize the chronological superposition of a 60-degree oblique kinetic impact, severe subterranean seismic shockwaves, and global surface mass redistributions via megatsunamis, which function as the primary drivers of planetary angular and axial displacement.While individual vectors appear sub-critical when scaled against a rigid planetary mass, their coupled interaction dramatically compromised the planet’s gyroscopic stability. The immense heat gradient generated as a direct result of the bolide’s atmospheric friction and impact energy acted as a structural solvent, inducing thermal fluidization along the lithosphere. This reduction in fault-line friction allowed the colossal kinetic momentum of global megatsunamis to force a non-linear shift in the Earth’s rotational period and a permanent micro-alteration of its axial obliquity, transforming a transient astronomical event into a permanent planetary-scale shift.Through a formalized evolutionary fitness landscape model, we demonstrate that this altered physical baseline breached the narrow ecological and biomechanical tolerance thresholds of giant Cretaceous megafauna, creating an irreversible gravitational and centrifugal filter that prevented their re-emergence. By permanently restructuring the planet’s spatial and rotational dynamics, this newly imposed physical equilibrium cleared dominant evolutionary niches and engineered the precise environmental baseline that directly accelerated mammalian radiation, bipedal adaptation, and the ultimate emergence of human beings.
