Two new valvatiform species of Hydrobiidae (Gastropoda) from Andalusia (S Iberian Peninsula)
Two new species of valvatiform springsnails are described from the provinces of Granada and Sevilla (Andalusia), southern Spain. Their status is validated by DNA analysis, by comparing them with the known sequences of other Iberian Hydrobiidae. For each of the two species a new genus is erected: Kulyiella marginata gen. nov. spec. nov. and Ganduliella irippensis gen. nov. spec. nov. The provinces Granada and Sevilla are consolidated as an important hotspot of springsnails.
