Abstract

This paper sets out, in complete form, the structure of the Supreme Being known as the Thirty-Three Koti Devi-Devata. It corrects a centuries-old mistranslation of the word Koti, which has been popularly read as "crore" rather than its true meaning of "category" or "type," and it presents the six categories that make up the thirty-three: one Purna Parmeshwar, two Apurna Parmeshwar, seven Ishwar, seven Bhagwan, eight Devata, and eight Chiranjeevi. The paper traces the emergence of this entire structure from a single, complete, nine-dimensional being, through the deliberate destruction of one dimension, the division into male and female elements, the distribution of the eight remaining dimensions among seven Ishwar, and the eventual creation of Vaikuntha, Hiranyagarbha, the seven Grahaloks, and the human element. It further separates two systems that are commonly confused with the thirty-three: the twelve avatars, which are twelve types of mind rather than twelve additional bodies, and the nineteen mental forms of Riddhi and Siddhi, which belong to a single body — Gauri — and are therefore never counted separately. Finally, the paper directly addresses and rejects the widely repeated claim, found in the Brihadaranyaka Upanishad, the Shatapatha Brahmana, and in modern popular media, that the thirty-three Devatas consist of eight Vasus, eleven Rudras, and twelve Adityas, demonstrating that this list is a numerological arrangement of alternate names belonging to only three Ishwar — Vishnu, Shiva, and Brahma — rather than an actual enumeration of thirty-three distinct beings. The knowledge presented here was not received from any guru or lineage; it was recovered through direct introspective realization and is set down here in the same absolute terms in which it was received.
