EVALUATE THE EFFECT OF REGULATORY STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT COMPLIANCE ON PERFORMANCE OF PUBLIC INFRASTRUCTURAL PROJECTS IN ESCRAVOS POWER PROJECT, WARRI NIGERIA
The study evaluated the effect of regulatory stakeholder management compliance on the performance of public infrastructural projects, focusing on the ESCRAVOS Power Project in Warri, Nigeria. The following specific objectives shall be pursued to access the current level of stakeholders’ engagement in relation to project sustainability on the ESCRAVOS Power Project and to appraise the effect of poor management of project Stakeholders in schedule performance of Infrastructural projects on the ESCRAVOS Power Project in Warri, Nigeria. A survey research design was adopted for the study. A structure questionnaire design with a five-point Liker scale was used to collect data for the study. The data were analyzed using Variance statistical tool in the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) was used for the testing the hypothesis because of its flexibility, robustness, and ability to determine whether a significant relationship exist between the variables. The Pearson correlation coefficient (r) was used for measuring linear correlation (measure the strength and direction of the relationship between the variables). The result revealed that there is a significant relationship between continuous Stakeholders’ engagement and cost performance of public Infrastructural projects on the ESCRAVOS Power Project and there is a significant relationship between poor management of project Stakeholder and schedule performance of public Infrastructural projects on the ESCRAVOS Power Project in Warri, Nigeria.The study concluded that Regulatory Stakeholder Management Compliance is a critical determinant of project success, specifically regarding the delivery of the ESCRAVOS Power Project in Warri, Nigeria. The study recommended that the ESCRAVOS Power Project management establishes a dedicated Stakeholder Engagement Unit (SEU).
