Comparative Computational Analysis of Projectile Trajectories Under Ideal Vacuum and Real-World Aerodynamic Drag Using Numerical Integration
This independent computational research project investigates the effect of aerodynamic drag on projectile trajectories by comparing ideal vacuum motion with atmospheric flight. A Python-based numerical simulation using the Euler method was developed to calculate projectile motion under constant atmospheric conditions. The study compares trajectory range and peak altitude between drag and no-drag cases and examines the influence of aerodynamic drag on flight behaviour.
