Elastic and inelastic scattering angular distributions for the system
The study of interactions between light nuclei at energies near the Coulomb barrier is crucial for understanding nuclear reaction mechanisms. In particular, weakly bound nuclei such as 7Li can undergo complex processes like breakup, transfer, elastic and inelastic scattering. The 7Li+58 Ni system has been a topic of interest due to the structural characteristics and the importance of revealing information about the role of structure in nucleus-nucleus interaction. In this work, we present the analysis of the elastic and inelastic scattering for the 7Li + 58Ni system measured at several energies near the Coulomb barrier (B = 13.56 MeV in the laboratory frame). The experiment was performed using the 6 MV Tandem Van de Graaff Accelerator at ININ, in Mexico.
