Toward Self-Assembling Alignment: Finite Evidence for Contextual State-Transition Governance under Typed Uncertainty

Abstract A cognitive transformation may preserve the present answer while destroying its justification, timely recoverability or compatibility with another responsibility. We define bounded self-assembling alignment as the formation and revision of alignment-relevant internal organisation from experience under explicit conditions on evidence, authority, uncertainty and continuing responsibility. We formalise a governed developmental transition that corrects defeated support, charges proposal and assessment, and admits discretionary change only with an adequate continuation. Rejection does not undo costs or restore withdrawn warrant. A finite separation theorem characterises when a reduced transition assessment cannot reproduce admissibility; constructive witnesses expose failures of value-only, endpoint-only and individually feasible accounts. We connect these obligations to previously conducted finite studies. In a connected campaign, experience changes organisation, interventions on organisation change later processing, and correction coexists with concurrent duties. All 9,216 main episodes fulfil their conditional contracts; conventional methods match important capabilities, and direct retention remains cheaper. These results support selected components and couplings, while integrated self-assembly, semantic discovery, scalable assurance and normative legitimacy remain unresolved. We conclude with a prospective reflexive test and interpret reciprocal signal–form development as the wider research destination.
