Digital money as a driver of the transformation of monetary circulation and the formation of a new form of value

The article provides a theoretical analysis of digital money as a driver of the transformation of monetary circulation and the formation of a new form of value in the context of the datafication of the economy. Based on Karl Marx’s evolutionary approach and the rationalist concept of money, it reveals the transition from traditional forms of monetary circulation to digital, programmable, and intangible forms functioning as information assets. It is argued that digitalization reshapes circulation mechanisms, accelerates the movement of value, and increases the role of data in its formation. The study shows that datafication serves as a key condition for the emergence of new value relations and the diversity of digital monetary forms.
