Reading the Sky Clockwise

Abstract This document describes how the sky is read clockwise within The Clockwise System, and how the framework's software implementation, the Clockwise System Tool, produces that reading. From a single input—a moment in time and a position on Earth—the Tool computes a complete, structured description of the sky: the positions of the seven visible bodies and the lunar nodes, their constellations and CC-degrees, the four Pivots, the twelve Positional Clock–constellation pairs, the four Quadrants, and every Angular Relation present. It sets out the computational method in full—the ephemeris source, the derivation of constellation boundaries from IAU data, the CC-degree conversion and its sidereal anchor, and the assembly of the structured description—at a level of detail sufficient for independent verification. The document documents the observational method through which a reading is produced and deliberately stops at the interpretive threshold: the point at which the structured description is handed to interpretation. The interpretive stage is described only at the level of operation; its content—the working characterisations, the Valence assignments, and worked readings—is established in the method book (Cosma, 2026d) and is neither reproduced nor generated here. The Clockwise System makes no causal, religious, or metaphysical claim and asserts no predictive certainty.
