Individual Emotional Regulation and Sensitivity Dominate Algorithmic Amplification in a Minimal Agent-Based Model of Opinion Polarization

This manuscript presents a minimal agent-based model for investigating how individual emotional regulation, sensitivity, social-network structure, and algorithmic amplification jointly shape collective opinion polarization. The study is intended as a mechanistic computational model rather than an empirical estimate of human psychological or platform-specific effects. The associated source code and reproducibility package are archived separately on Zenodo under DOI 10.5281/zenodo.22766298.
