Laboratory Consequence of Hybrid Intransitability: Human Gradients and the Limits of Model-Centric Reproducibility

This revised derivative note examines how human supervision and retained operational history may affect long-horizon agent evaluation. Within the HibriMind framework, situated human–AI coupling includes the model, operator, authorized purpose, supervision regime, and accumulated interaction history. Repeating the technical configuration therefore need not reproduce the same situated coupling. This does not imply that measurable effects are scientifically irreproducible. The methodological hypothesis is that omitting causally relevant operator and history variables can compromise interpretation, comparison, and replication. Version 0.2 distinguishes trajectory monitoring from causal explanation and historical singularity from reproducibility of effects. The note discusses Beyond Suspicious Steps: Ontological Trust in Long-Horizon Agents as an external reference relevant to trajectory custody, without treating it as evidence establishing hybrid-agent intransitability. A crossed experimental design is proposed to distinguish retained-history effects, operator-change effects, and their interaction. The protocol specifies controlled conditions, outcome measures, independent adjudication, and interpretation of positive, null, or inconclusive findings. No new experimental results are reported. The proposed protocol has not been executed. Changes from v0.1: qualified categorical reproducibility claims; separated operational and ontological hypotheses; added an external reference with explicit chronology; and introduced a testable experimental protocol.
