Status of the Electromagnetic Calorimeter Testing for the MPD Experiment at the NICA Collider
Abstract The Electromagnetic Calorimeter (ECal) is designed to measure positions, energies, and times of flight of photons and electrons in heavy-ion collisions. This detector is a highly granular installation consisting of 38 400 channels, which requires comprehensive testing of all system components to ensure reliable operation. The article presents the methodology and results of full-scale testing of the electromagnetic calorimeter, including checking the operability of individual modules and detector pre-calibration.
