The genome sequence of Goldilocks Aster, Galatella linosyris (L. Rchb.f., 1853) (Asterales: Asteraceae)
We present a genome assembly of Galatella linosyris (Goldilocks Aster; Streptophyta; Magnoliopsida; Asterales; Asteraceae). The assembly consists of two haplotypes with total lengths of 4,455.90 megabases and 4,428.67 megabases. Most of haplotype 1 (99.26%) is scaffolded into 9 chromosomal pseudomolecules. Haplotype 2 was assembled to scaffold level. The mitochondrial sequences have lengths of 195.56 and 60.14 kilobases and the plastid genome assembly has a length of 153.44 kilobases. Gene annotation of this assembly on Ensembl identified 31,962 protein-coding genes. This assembly was generated as part of the Darwin Tree of Life project, which produces reference genomes for eukaryotic species found in Britain and Ireland.
