The genome sequence of Alnus cordata (Loisel. Duby, 1828) (Fagales: Betulaceae)

We present a genome assembly of Alnus cordata (Italian Alder; Streptophyta; Magnoliopsida; Fagales; Betulaceae). The assembly consists of two haplotypes with total lengths of 468.52 megabases and 468.51 megabases. Most of haplotype 1 (98.99%) is scaffolded into 14 chromosomal pseudomolecules. Haplotype 2 was assembled to scaffold level. The mitochondrial sequences have lengths of 521.58 and 155.53 kilobases and the plastid genome assembly has a length of 160.76 kilobases. This assembly was generated as part of the Darwin Tree of Life project, which produces reference genomes for eukaryotic species found in Britain and Ireland.

Abstract

The assembly consists of two haplotypes with total lengths of 468.52 megabases and 468.51 megabases. Most of haplotype 1 (98.99%) is scaffolded into 14 chromosomal pseudomolecules. Haplotype 2 was assembled to scaffold level. The mitochondrial sequences have lengths of 521.58 and 155.53 kilobases and the plastid genome assembly has a length of 160.76 kilobases. This assembly was generated as part of the Darwin Tree of Life project, which produces reference genomes for eukaryotic species found in Britain and Ireland.
