Structural injustice and disability: a relational egalitarian account

This paper develops a relational egalitarian account of structural justice for disabled people. To do so, I explain some vital empirical sources of disability disadvantage. Second, I clarify how relational egalitarians understand social hierarchy and why it is unjust for disabled individuals to be subjected to one based on their group status. Third, I will argue that disabled individuals experience structural unfairness and injustice compared to nondisabled individuals.
