The Liquid Scintillator Track Detector
Abstract The track detector based on organic scintillators and using Fresnel lenses has been developed at the JINR Laboratory of High Energy Physics. The developed detectors are necessary to test an opportunity of obtaining particle tracks using arrays of silicon photomultipliers (SiPM). When measuring, well-recognized tracks from cosmic muons were obtained in the plastic and liquid scintillators by means of a short-focus Fresnel lens. The spatial resolution of the liquid scintillator detector was 2.1 mm.
