Survey Questionnaire for Does Pull Request Abandonment Affect Future Contributions? A Mixed-Methods Study of Open Source Software Projects
Purpose This dataset contains survey data collected to understand perceptions and experiences related to contributor-abandoned pull requests (PRs) in open source software (OSS) projects. About the Surveys Two surveys were conducted: Contributor Survey: Examines contributors’ perceptions of how abandoning a PR is associated with their future contributions and continued participation in the project. Maintainer Survey: Examines maintainers’ perceptions of the future contributions of contributors who have previously abandoned PRs. The surveys include background questions and an open-ended question to capture participants’ experiences and perspectives. Participation and Confidentiality Participation was voluntary. Responses were collected anonymously and used exclusively for academic research. No personally identifiable information was collected.
