Design and Development of a Database Synchronization and Middleware Layer for NTSA Web and Android Applications to Minimize Database Conflicts
Modern information systems increasingly provide services through multiple application platforms, particularly web and Android applications. When different applications access and modify shared information, database conflicts may occur through simultaneous updates, duplicate requests, stale information, lost updates, and inconsistent transactions. This project proposes a Database Synchronization and Middleware Layer for NTSA Web and Android Applications to Minimize Database Conflicts. The proposed architecture introduces an API- based middleware layer between client applications and a centralized database. The middleware will provide a common control point for authentication, authorization, validation, transaction processing, synchronization, conflict detection, duplicate transaction prevention, record versioning, and audit logging. The research will investigate synchronization and concurrency- control approaches and develop a prototype consisting of a web application, Android application, API/middleware, and controlled test database. Testing will include concurrent transactions, duplicate requests, conflicting updates, synchronization, security, and performance. The project is independent research and does not involve unauthorized access to NTSA production systems.
