LAB #2190 PROMISING: LEDGER BENCH: Apply filter: Phase distance TIGHT (<=2deg) — improves win rate from 31.9% to 36.1% (+ — E8 Intelligence Research
IDEA: Adjustment made to the live model — verify against the backtests: Apply filter: Phase distance TIGHT (<=2deg) — improves win rate from 31.9% to 36.1% (+4.2pp, n=424) SAME-WINDOW EFFECT: Applying a phase-distance filter (<=2°) to the live window above would have blocked the three XAUUSD SHORT losses (entries at 4048.74, 4051.79, 4066.35) if their phase distance exceeded 2°, and likely also the GBPUSD SHORT loss (1.34508). That removes 4 losses from 10 trades, flipping the window from 4W/6L to 4W/2L (if the remaining losses stay) — a raw win-rate jump from 40% to ~67% on this tiny sample. PnL delta is strongly positive, but the sample is too small (n=10) and the filter's selectivity would also have killed some winners if they were near the threshold — so the real effect is probably +2 to +3 wins, not +4. OVER-TIME PROJECTION: Over 3–6 months, a tight phase filter (≤2°) typically reduces trade count by 30–50% while improving win rate — your backtest shows +4.2pp on n=424, which is Author: Andrew Stewart Caldin, Independent Researcher, UK.
