The Clockwise System: A Framework Specification

Abstract The Clockwise System (TCS) is a formally governed method for the structured description and interpretation of the sky as observed from a defined terrestrial position at a specific moment. It is built upon the separately published Clockwise Cosmology framework (Cosma, 2026a), which supplies its observational architecture: the Three Clocks, the 365-CC-degree ecliptic, and the seven visible bodies. This document is a concise specification of the framework. It states what TCS is, its relationship to Clockwise Cosmology, its coordinate system, its closed structural vocabulary, the fixed Governed Sequence (Observe → Structure → Interpret), the four principles of Epistemic Governance, the fourteen applications, and the framework's scope and limitations. It is intended as a citable reference to the framework as a whole, and it deliberately stops at the level of architecture and governance: the complete method—the working interpretive characterisations, the Valence assignments, the constellation boundary and arc tables, the interpretive-condition derivations, and worked readings—is established in the method book (Cosma, 2026d). The Clockwise System makes no claim of causation between sky and terrestrial events, no religious or metaphysical claim, and no claim of predictive certainty; its validity is assessed by the standards appropriate to formally governed interpretive frameworks: internal coherence, methodological consistency, transparent derivation, and disciplined governance of interpretation.
