The Rubelis Beyond Educational Framework: Situational Awareness, Judgment, and Reflective Learning in Recreational Diving

The Rubelis Beyond Educational Framework presents the educational rationale, conceptual foundations, curriculum architecture and assessment approach underlying Rubelis Beyond, a complementary recreational diving education programme developed by Rubelis OÜ. The framework focuses on situational awareness, observation, interpretation, anticipation, judgement, decision-making and reflective learning in recreational diving. It does not replace entry-level scuba certification, in-water skills training, agency standards or legally required diver qualifications. Instead, it is designed to provide certified divers with an additional educational layer focused on recognising what is happening around them underwater, interpreting changing conditions and making more deliberate decisions. This Version 1.0 establishes the initial documented methodology of the Rubelis Beyond educational system and is intended to support transparency, external review, future research and continuous development.
